Well I haven't updated in a while, a long whild actually, and I guess it's time to. So much has happened, but I will save the best for last. I got back from Maine a few weeks ago, and had a great summer. It was certainly the most interesting summer I have had. But like I said, I will save the best for last. Anyways...
The concert scene is going to be crazy! I ave already seen Jack Johnson, who was incredible, and my Coldplay tickets just go there today with some interesting promo stuff. It came with a backstage pass thingy (although I didn't get a backstage pass :( ) and... headphones... Crappy ones at that. But I couldn't be more excited. When they play Fix You I will probably just explode. If they played both Fix You and Amsterdam I would explode... twice. After that I go to see Dave Matthews, Green Day/Jimmy Eat World (with pit tix... crazy!!!), and Oasis. How sweet is that?
My class schedule is as follows. Organic Chem., Organic Chem lab, Biology, Bio. lab., Spanish 325 and Spanish 330. This means that I will be done with my spanish minor this year. The former four class mean death by studying next semester. Just have to push through it.
The summer in Maine was great, and it was great to see all of my family again, as always. The house in Maine is still a project and is coming along nicely. I got to take a little 10 HP aluminum boat out whenever I wanted, and that was a lot of fun to just cruise around on the lake. The water skiing was great with my dad's boat, and I finally got to ski on one ski!!!! I have been trying for 2 years to get it, and I finally got it. It is one of those things that once you figure out how to do it, you wonder why it was so difficult to learn to do. But it is a lot of fun! I didn't tube so much, because that seems to be taxing on every appendage of the body, given my weight and the fact that my father drives the boat.
Jon and I moved into our new place, and we absolutely love it. The place is hooked up, and we have people over to hang out all of the time. We ordered our 42" plasma TV yesterday, and that should be here soon. This should be a great year.
Our beagle dies just before the Maine vacation, and he is greatly missed. I love you Tucker! Hopefully the rabbit poop and things to hump are plentiful in the place that you are. Don't piss the dog-god off too much with your incessant barking! My first dog will be a Jack Russel Terrier. They are so smart and they are just good looking dogs. Perhaps I will get two parakeets soon. Perhaps...
I went to Montreal this summer, and that was a really cool place. It is like walking around a major European city. Obviously the language there is French, and the people there are very European as well. The cafes are cool places to sit and watch people, and the resturaunts are really good. I will have to go back to that place. The shopping there is incredible! it sparked my fashion change to Diesel / True Religion / Parasuco / Jack Jones / Guess. I bought lots of cool clothes, and I am just crazy about diesel!
Now for the last (best) news to report. Lynne Greenhalgh. When I started to work at Jasper's again this summer, I didn't at all expect to meet anyone, and much less be serious with anyone. That changed when Lynne came for her shift at Jasper's when I was working. I told Jon after introducing myself and talking with her a bit that I had to ask her to go out after work. He gave me enough reassurance to do it. She said that she wanted to, and thus we began. She had a great smile, a great laugh, and especially caring and outgoing personality. The next "date" was intersting, because I was pretty much sure that she wouldn't show up. She was nearly 2 hours late, and by then I was definately convinced she wasn't coming. But she did. We went out in our boat and went swimming in the freezing cold water (64). From then on we didn't spend much time apart. We went to Montreal together, and had a great time. I asked her to come back to arizona until she has to go to school in Boston, and we drove all the way across the country togher. And now I don't want her to leave. I know she has to, but I wish she could stay. But I believe this is worth keeping, and so does she. We have worked too hard and care for each other too much to lose this. Many will think it's a bad idea, but neither of us care. We just want to be together, no matter what. If you ask me, that's the definition of love. We will stay together and make this work, as a team. One thing is for sure -- it will not be the same in Arizona without her.
